This book is the perfect manual for getting started with juicing. It begins by describing the various juicers out there. When I went shopping to upgrade the cheap one I bought years ago, the descriptions of the different machines gave me the tools to purchase the machine that would best fit my lifestyle and budget.There is a handy list of 35 fruits and 35 vegetables that are perfect for juicing, as well as the spices and herbs that you should consider to give your juice an extra kick. This alone was an eye opener for me, who knew there were so many?!A large part of the book is dedicated to the different reasons to add juicing to your diet, from cleansing and detox to weight loss and disease fighting, plus how to stay successful with your juicing diet plan. In addition to the 30-Day Juice Diet, there’s a nutrition chart and “7-Day Quick Cleanse Guidelines.” You can jump right into the plan that suits you, or just try out the recipes.Speaking of which, the best part, for me, is the 175 recipes divided into subsections: green juices, fruit juices, vegetable juices, savory and spices juices.
